Different characters played by Anuj Sawhney

Anuj Sawhey in his debut film ‘Nayee Padosan’ played the role of the likeable hero who at the end of the film walked away with his beautiful padosan after defeating the other two contenders.

Anuj Sawhney in his next film Chingaari, starred opposite Sushmita Sen, had set the box office on fire with his excellent performance. In the film Anuj Sawhney played the role of Chandan Mishra, a simple young boy who was an educated and progressive village postman. Sushmita plays the role of a prostitute who falls in love with Anuj Sawhney. Anuj Sawhney loves her too and also fights for her rights against the village priest Bhuvan Panda who believes that girls like Sushmita has no right to fall in love with anyone. Anuj Sawhney had worked very hard on the character to make sure that he justified the character and played the role perfectly. He kept on asking Kalpana Lajmi about the character of Chandan and how he should speak, walk, express himself etc. His hard work was very well seen on the screen.

In Naina, Anuj Sawhney’s next hit, he played the role of a psychiatrist against Urmila Matondkar. Anuj has also done a number of hit comedy films like Fun2ssh and Tom Dick and Harry.
