We all, for the very first time, saw Anuj Sawhney in the bollywood film ‘Nayee Padosan’, as the guy who defeated his contenders and walked away with the beautiful girl by the end of the film. Next we again saw him in a comedy role in the comedy flick Funt2ssh. But Anuj Sawhney proved his acting skills with his mind blowing performance in ‘Naina’, cast opposite Urmila Matondkar, as a psychiatrist. With this role, he proved to his audience that he can do serious roles too and not only comedy.
He further proved himself as a brilliant actor in Kalpana Lajmi’s ‘Chingaari’ where he played the role of a village postman. His character was of a boy who was simple but educated and progressive. In the film he falls in love with Basanti (Sushmita Sen) who is a prostitute. He fights for her rights and stands by her every time when she needs him. According to Anuj Sawhney, he had to put in a lot of effort, to successfully play his role in ‘Changaari’.
Next Anuj Sawhney was seen in some more bollywood films like Tom Dick and Harry, Brides Wanted etc., where with his brilliant performances he continued to entertain his audiences.
